![]() What? Asian Pacific Youth Alive Conference 2009 When? 10th-12th December 2009 Where? Glad Tiding, Petaling Jaya Who? 29 nations 1400 over delegates 1 God Why? Well, it's held in a different country every year. so duh i went or i'll have to wait another 3 years. Conclusion: I.LOVE.JESUS What struck me in this conference is how great God is. We had a thousand over people that came from different walks of life. And at that very time, they were actually praying for each other. Like, people who didn't know each other, were praying for each other!!! ![]() Pastor Julie grouped us according to which country we were from and made us pray for other countries. It might not seem as a big deal when reading this, but at that moment, i just felt so blessed to be part of the christian community. ![]() That aside, APYAC was AWESOME!!. 1400 people! I'm still in awe of the number of delegates that showed up. A THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED!!. One thing I was looking forward to was experiencing the bands from the different countries (eww, i think my dad just farted. very smelly). Indonesia did not disappoint! Neither did any of the other countries that performed but i really enjoyed the Indonesians. Oh and the Africans on the last night - WELL DONE! *recap: EVERYBODY BLOW YOUR TRUMPET. PRA-LALLA-LALALA I got this video from Benedict. A sneak of what all you guys missed. It was the 1st night of the conference. The Indonesian band i think - correct me if i'm wrong. Each country also got a time slot to showcase a little more about their culture, yaada yaada, the normal stuff. Then there was the whole flag thing. I have no idea what you call it. We were asked to write a prayer for a certain country. And then we had to drop our prayers where the countries flag was situated. I regret not paying attention in World History. The only flag i recognized there was Malaysia's and Japan's. *psh. ![]() We were extremely lucky to have Mike Pilavachi as our conference speaker. For all those who've never heard of him, his the one who wrote "when the music fades". And for those of you who don't know what "when the music fades" is, COME TO CHURCH. This was my first time listening to his preaching and his one heck of a preacher. He got me google-ing his name right after i reached home. ![]() It was so nice to be able to meet all the YES-ers again. About half of them came for the conference, which was a shocker looking at how most of them still had classes on. ![]() Anyway, much more to blog about APYAC. I think i'll do it next time since it's not that important. So yeah, if you didn't come, you missed out a bundle, but no worries, wait till 2012! "I have more fun when i'm with boys" Joses Khoo Love,
