As you can see, his trying very hard to pay attention in service. Believe me, his trying VERY HARD. But if you know Michael or have ever played with him, you'll know that he CAN NEVER sit still. Never ever ever! So, some minutes into the sermon, Michael is bound to "unintentionally" slip of his chair.... Now if that doesn't catch you attention, fret not! , little Michael has got many tricks up his sleeves... He would do just about everything to his abilities to get your attention.. So there we were, looking eye to eye (though mine was still, and Michael's was way more wiggly cause he kept moving). He mouthed to me "want to play?" I whispered back "I need to listen to the sermon Mic..." He pouted and I instantly felt guilty I tried to feed my guilt by providing Michael with my camera's blower - the only un-breakable thing I had at that moment. Little did I know the imagination that kid has :) The blower 1st became a rocket And then it became a weapon used by Ultraman (his current fad) Of which I could not take pictures of because his *psh* *bang* *ULTRAA GAAYA* noise effects became a little too loud "not too loud, use your indoor voice Michael"
"Ultraman no indoor voice laaaa" The blower than became , a blower.... and when he got too bored of using it on himself, he used it on the people around him.. Which resulted to a sounding from daddy asking him to sit down *or else* So little Michael grabs a piece of the sermon notes provided and starts tracing the blower (smart boy). The result of it, of course, nothing close to the blower, but as long as Little Michael knows what it is, that's all that matters. The tracing stint then sparks his inner da Vincci (and keeps him quiet and still for the rest of the sermon) and Little Michael draws his version of all 7 Ultra Men (I bet you didn't know there were 7) Finally the sermon ends. Little Michael sees an Ipad across the auditorium and rushes to play *angwee beerd*. oh, his still holding my blower , I wonder when he'll give it back........ Love,

When was the last time you thought of something that was genuinely your own? I realized for myself that I usually get most of my "own" ideas when I'm Like just know while sweeping the front yard I was pondering on why people would sacrifice so much just to attend a wedding. People would miss work, buy air tickets, get an expensive dress, travel 100 of miles ,just to attend a wedding. I think its because that each of us has this quiet but strong longing to be a part of something beautiful that connects people together, something that we all jump in whenever given the opportunity to be part of. So that's my take. What about you? What unique thought have you had today? Love,

For the past two weeks, I've been given the opportunity to act as the mommy of the house. Our real mommy was not around. No worries, nothing fatal happened, she just needed to be somewhere else. I did what most mommy's did. - I made it a point to cook at least one meal a day. - I cleaned something new each day. - I chauffeured the siblings around for tuition and their appointments (Spuggy had play dates) - I made sure all school work was done and did revision. - I did grocery shopping Do you really want to know everything I did? NO? I thought so. By the end of week 1, I was regretting ever agreeing to do it. Who in the right mind would give up their entire life to cleaning, chauffeuring, nagging and re-cleaning? Adding to that, I had absolutely no time left for myself. And this is even after having various machines around the house to help me! Being something as simple as a mom- one would think is a piece of cake. "Just give birth only lah! Then *poof!* you're a mom"
HAHAHA NO. Its TAKES BALLS ! And tons and gallons of energy. And patience. And sacrifice. I tried finding a reason why a sane person would want to spend their entire life like this. The only logical reason I could think of is love. Because nothing else can drive a person to give so much of themselves other than love. So to all the moms out there I'd like to salute you - for keeping the house clean when no ones else wanted to help you - for all the quick showers you had to take because something else needed your attention - for all the canceled outings with your friends because you needed to chauffeur us around - for your constant prayers even though we are a pain in the butt - for shopping in Tesco instead of getting those new pair of shoes - for the freedom you had to sacrifice to take on this full time job but most importantly, for your unfailing love. I know us, kids, never tell you this enough (cause we have egos bigger than Mount Himalaya), but we're really thankful for the amount of sacrifice you made, just to be our moms. My hope is that one day, I'll be as brave as you mom, and have kids of my own. Labels: family 0 lovely comments ✿

A week ago, the family headed over to the Purple Cane Tea House to celebrate Ashley's birthday. Notice how the name of the outlet is PURPLE Cane Tea House? Well, surprise surprise, It isn't purple. (to my dismay) I mean the white house is called a WHITE house for a reason right? I volunteered to drive, not knowing the way The Purple Cane Tea House was surprisingly easy to find. I was prepped to go all Indiana Jones to find the place but Osborne Street really isn't that hard to find. To all those who know Ipoh better, The Purple Cane Tea House was previously occupied by Foh San Dim Sum. The entrance of the shop was blocked by the night market, thus making it look a little dingy. " Why are we celebrating in a pasar malam?" "NOO.. you walk inside a bit.." The Purple Cane Tea House (why must their name be so long) is part retail store and part f&b outlet. Grandpa being the tea enthusiast that he is had his game face on as he entered the shop. Tell anyone this place was the old Fuh San and they wouldn't believe you. It was rather, well, transformed. I can honestly imagine holding my wedding reception here. Okay yes, I think to much. If you'll be eating or purchasing RM250 or more worth of products, you may request for a private room. (which gives you a nice Japanese feel, but, you're in a cage, literally) I don't know how someone can "know" that he'll be eating Rm250 of goods. I mean, what if your bill comes up to RM200 and you've already made use of the private room? Well, we found out the hard way. The MAKE you eat. Really. Our bill came up to RM239 and they brought their menu to us when we asked for the bill. If you enjoy Chinese Tea, the Purple Cane Tea House is for you. Every dish, and I mean EVERY dish, even the rice, is cooked with tea. I came out of the shop feeling like I've tasted the whole BOH plantation. My favorite had to be the desserts. Not because it was dessert (well, yeah) but because of the jelly! It's called four seasons. Each color of jelly is suppose to represent a season, like summer or winter. Honestly, I can't remember what was what. But the green jelly was the best! Green tea flavored. Now I know what you're wondering. Which part of this was cooked with tea? Well, it wasn't. But see that green dip? Oh. but the tea! Let me tell you about the Tea! It was magnificent! (and I don't usually use such big words) . Like real quality tea. I think you should just go to the Purple Cane just to drink tea and eat jelly. btw, see what I mean when I say you're in a cage? (with a not so good air conditioning system I would like to add) I have to say the service in the Purple Cane is really good and the staff are all friendly. Most of them are bilingual as well. In fact they found out it was Ashley's birthday so they gave her a complimentary flower-blooming drink that got everyone engrossed for the rest of the night. The flower actually blooms! No , seriously. Thanks to the restaurants RM250 rule, everyone was bloated by the end of the meal. You know you've eaten way too much when you can't sit anymore. Time spent with family is always well spent. Happy Birthday Ashley! PURPLE CANE TEA HOUSE No 2, Jalan Dato Tahwil Azar (Osborne Street) 30300 Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.
