Dear Erin, I wished I had known earlier that life is not so simple. There is no black and white and there is no wrong and right. When you were younger you were taught to categorize things to good and bad because it was easy to comprehend. But as you grow, you'll realize that it isn't that straightforward. Whatever decisions you make is a compilation of many occurrences, circumstances and emotions. I only wish that you are armored with the wisdom and confidence to decipher through your life choices. I can't give you a manual as to how to live life, because everyone does it differently. But I hope that however you do choose to live, you are at peace with yourself and happy. Living life is a lot about "doing you". It's a lot about finding out what works best for you, and then, to be confident and convicted enough to doing things your way. I'm not saying that you can live your life with total carelessness with no regards of your actions. But, don't be afraid to explore uncharted territories. Whatever you do, keep seeking knowledge and continue to add value to yourself. Don't worry about failing. You need to fail a couple of times in order to know what does not work. Don't be scared about what you're leaving behind, you only move forward. Don't look at your past mistakes with guilt. Look at them with pride, knowing that you have learnt and have became better. As much as you go on your journey in life, I also hope that you be as kind with people as you wish for them to be with you. Everyone is learning. No matter their age and stature. Everyone is on a journey. So Erin, Go conquer life. Keep learning. Even if you're reading this at 21, or 38, or 89. Everyday is a lesson to be better. 0 lovely comments ✿ |
