Ironic to my Cantonese genes, I don't take liking to soupy dishes. And that means I do not fancy having steamboat. What's steamboat? (for all 'em ang moh's readers i have out there) Better known as Hot Pot, this East Asian *stew* consist of a simmering metal pot of stock at the center of the dining table. While the pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table. (yes i copied this from Wiki) Also, the probability of you getting a burnt tongue when eating steamboat is 100 to 1. (that, I added in myself) I'm not a fan of Hot Pot for 3 simple reasons Hot Pot meals are often eaten during winter to keep the body warm. See the problem? HOT pot meals are often eaten during the WINTER to keep the body WARM Hot, Winter and Warm. Malaysia does NOT have winter, is extremely HOT and we already feel Warm. Why would anyone in their right mind ,want to feel warmer that we already are? It's like telling a fat person to be fatter. Nevertheless, what I do enjoy about steamboat sessions is the fellowship with the family. Soaking up in the soup you may call it. We have conversations like: *Hoi, MANA SOS?!?!?!* *ahahahah Malaysia politicians are so stupid* *I said, bring the sauce NOW* *did you hear about my neighbor and his mistress?* *aahhaah Malaysian politicians are so stupid AGAIN* Conversations are captioned by me. No we don't bitch about Malaysian politicians over dinner. Or do we? *jeng jeng jeng* Love, Sabrina

My cousin 1st introduced me to this f&b outlet after the Zee Avi concert. Since then, I've been begging to bring the family there. This outlet doesn't take reservations unless you've got a special function so unless you go really early, you're going to have to wait for a table. We went at the usual dinner time, about 8 ish. We had to wait for about 10 minutes for a table. Once again, the food did not disappoint. Mom got a chicken steak with Mexican rice for Rm24 ish. she rated it an 8/ 10 Rachel has chicken tacos which went for Rm24 ish-which was the best thing ever. we had to pay Rm5 for extra sauce though :S she rated it a 12/10. Yes. THAT good. And weirdly enough I remember what everyone else ordered but me. Here's the picture though. It was some seafood spicy thing for RM 30-ish It was so-so. Not what I had expected. The outer bread roll was too thick so it didn't meet the taste of the seafood inside. Their desserts looked REALLY good. but their portions are way to big (which is good for the price) for us to eat anymore. Oh and the drinks are highly over priced. Coke for Rm8? I say stick with water. I do have an interest for Mexican Food but this is one outlet that I believe everyone would take a special liking to. Plus if you can give up soft drinks for normal water, the bill should go to Rm30 a person for a main dish. Do try it out. Don't order what I did. Try the chicken Tacos. If you ever check it out, tell me how the desserts taste! Love,

Everyone got along. Cambodia was a blessed trip with lots of food A blessed trip soaked with culture culture Oh. Gurcharan got married. Very thankful to be part of the wedding. A blessed trip with much needed fellowship And most importantly. a blessed trip full of love God worked in beautiful ways. I do hope that the Cambodians got to see Christ through us. I believe every christian should go on a mission trip at least once. It doesn't need to be in another country mind you. You come back so thankful with what you have and all that is around you. Pictures taken from J&P photography. Visit their fb page here I feel empowered.

Sometimes you feel so tired,
0 lovely comments ✿ you don't feel like thinking anymore What was 1st a spark has now became a dim light. Promises were made, hands were shocked but in the end, what good are your words, when they are not kept? Sometimes you feel like quitting but what would the people say? Irresponsible they might call you, from running away. call me a quitter, say I've got no faith. Truth to be told, I'm not happy anymore May the joy of the Lord be my strength. |
