I'm about to tell you the very BEST place to go visiting. Ready?? waiiittt for it.. waitttt for it....... 1. Because she stays in Gopeng ( i hope i got that right) and when you get there, it's like the whole road is celebrating Chinese New Year. The whole road is freggin red and filled with pineapples. (lanterns NOT literally) 2.Because her mom is there. This lady wins the award for being the most sporting grandma, honestly. Sorry, i couldn't take a picture of her looking at the camera- She was moving too fast - POINT PROVEN. 3.Because she stays in Gopeng. Which means we can have fireworks and it would take the police FOREVER to get there. 4.Because in Clarice's house, you discover the existence of PINK lanterns, THAT FLY! You 1st need to write a wish on it. Btw this is not religious, It's just for fun. NOWHERE in the bible, will you find "thou shalt write thy wish on thee pink paper, and put it to air . If it reaches heaven, I shall catch it and grant thy wish on thy pink paper" I'm VERY sure. When the pink lantern is filled (with words), hold it upright and get an experienced person to light it up (note: NOT BURN IT) Hold on it for awhile.. and then it floats. I'm VERY sure there's some scientific reason for it. Something about hot air being lighter than cold air. I wish I paid more attention in school. Rachel lee : What if an airplane bangs on out lantern and the whole plane catches fire because of us? Sab: The wouldn't know it's our lanterns! Rachel Lee: WE HAVE OUR NAMES ON THEM! So, at first the family had plans to go to Sabah for the holidays, then we wanted to go to Kedah, and then Johor, and then Thailand. But in the end..... we ended up in.. As everyone else gathered with their family, around the lazy susan, about to have their big reunion dinner, the Chan family (who were too full from their MEE REBUS dinner) headed to... (I honestly doubt that tradition will last long in my family) The next day, we went visiting. We brought along a special guest this year.. SPUGGY WUGGY!! (will elaborate more on the name next time. DON'T LAUGH AT IT. IKILLYOU) For all those non-asian readers out there (if I have any) Visiting friends and relatives is a tradition done to get together and catch up (for the adults) and collect ang pau (money, put in red packets) for the kids. For the statement above, I do not mind being put in the category of kids. ONLY FOR THE STATEMENT ABOVE! The most common thing done during Chinese New Year is But there are some that are abnormal from the rest. Instead of feasting with the others, they'd rather... Play a game of Charades or, well... sleep But HEEEYY... Me, my family and friends WON'T DO ANYTHING LIKE THAT! Cause we're NORMAL! *looks from side to side* Yeaah... Normalll... And that's all I really have for the moment. Btw. Chinese New Year is Still going on. There iss about 6 more days to it so, SEND ME THEM ANG PAOS! if you can lick your elbow, you can eat you cupcake -Jon Gosselin- Love, Sabrina Labels: family, food, friends, me 0 lovely comments ✿
