Mom left for India this morning. I'd like to say thank you to all COP and non-COP members who contributed in any way to the trip. I was taken aback before the trip even started. We collected enough toys and clothing to reach the ceiling. And bless you all for the cash :) Here's the beautiful part, the individuals who gave the most toys and cash weren't even christian. It's amazing to see how people of different religion come together for the well being of other people. Amazing. Truly Amazing. On another note, Dad came back this morning, just in time to send mom off. He brought us back 10kg worth of presents this time. wait for it.... 10kg Worth of Grapes! He reasons: "You always complain I don't buy you stuff!" I don't know what he was thinking Love, Sabrina Labels: family 6 lovely comments ✿

May I first start by saying that if you're feeling hungry, lazy, and well, poor, this post is for you! Sometimes I feel so lazy that I want to just gobble something up and imagine I'm a potato for the rest of the day. So I go to the grocery cupboard and all I see are piles and piles of instant noodles. I can't help but thinking *Meeeh, not again* So hear hear yee, I present to you a way of eating instant noodles, without really eating it. well, you are eating it, just that it doesn't taste like the ordinary ones Instead of using the sachets of flavoring that comes with it, i'm using chicken stalk. 3/4 of chicken stalk and not anymore unless you want to die hairless Oh and broccoli! Overnight broccoli actually. Leftovers from the night before. Add a cup of water, the chicken stalk and chopped broccoli into a pan and bring to boil. I suggest tasting it before taking off the stove. Just in case it's to salty so you can add more water and bring to boil again. Just before you're about to pour the boiling soup into the Mamee cup, crack an egg onto the instant noodles. Tunggu , Tunggu... MAKAN The whole thing takes less than 10 minutes. Well unless you have some super old fashion stove that takes likes 20 minutes just to boil water la. and i promise that it tastes good. well, edible at least Love, Sabrina Labels: food 0 lovely comments ✿
It is part of the Chinese Tradition here in Malaysia to celebrate a baby's first full moon when she turns 1 month old. This coincides with the end of the new mum's confinement period, and both mother and baby are formally introduced to the extended family and friends for the first time. Think of it as an Asian baby shower. I was going through a parenting site through Yahoo! and compiled a list of 4 things NOT to get as gifts for the Full Moon party. 1. Cardboard Customized Baby Cot If you wanted your friend's kid to sleep in cardboard, why not just BUY cardboard? If anyone gave me this I'd honestly be insulted. Like "what you think I beggar ah??!" This is going for $250 on ebay btw 2.Sperm Pins and Earrings "wow isn't that a unique piece of jewelery!" "why thank you" "what is is actually??" "oh nothing much, JUST MY HUSBAND'S SPERM" Just to look at a sonogram in it's actual size, you'd have to squint here and there to make up what's where. But to minimize it's size 10 times smaller and turn it into a cuff link?? Imagine dad going "I'm so proud of my baby, I wear her Everywhere!" oh.. and my favorite think DAD + SADDLE. all you need to do is to strap it on dad! and he becomes a horse! freggin out of this world enjoy your day Love, Sabrina Labels: random 0 lovely comments ✿

This is an hour after I last had the most fulfilling maggi goreng of my life. Okay, not exactly the MOST fulfilling. But great enough. CAUSE I MADE IT :) Hello mamee sllrrrp! *hamsap look* my ingredients (okay so maybe i'm not the most adventurous person out there) If you're as bad in the kitchen as I am, the picture illustrated steps to cooking would be VERY helpful. 1st step, put noodles in boiling water till it becomes noodle-ly 2nd step, drain the water away and leave the noodles to urm *dry* 3rd step. Pour in whatever sauce packets that came with the packaging. (mine came in two, on was some thick black substance and another was oil) (a dirty job, i suggest asking the dad to do this for you) 4th step, STIR! MIX! MIX! Step 5, add in the fried onions and *TAADDAAA* you're done! can anyone say easy as a pea? oh and it tasted great btw :) Love, Sabrina Labels: food 0 lovely comments ✿
