(Dad wanted us to drive, Rachel wanted us to take the bus, neither of them were coming with us btw) What I don't really like about Air Asia (other than the fact that their airport is unbearably messy) is that from the boarding room to the actual aircraft, you've to walk like 5 meters in the outdoor. Hey I'm okay with walking but there's no proper pathway, so it's like you're walking at some back alley with oil spills and those heavy vehicles driving past. And OMG you walk so near to those big fan (FAN not FAT) things. It looks like it can like suck you in and chop you into a billion pieces in a blink of an eye But ah then again, the flights are super cheap so shouldn't complain la. Oh did you guys know that Firefly has an airport opened in Ipoh? Mom and I only found out after coming back from Singapore. Thanks to Aunt Pearly, Pastor George (or was it Josh?) and his wife, we got a place to stay in Simei which was like 2 stops from church. And it was for free so Whoo-pee-do-daa. Inclusive of all the walking and the train ride, it would take us about 15 minutes to reach City Harvest. No wait, I'm not done yet, and from the entrance of City Harvest, it would take us 1 hour to get to our seats, sometimes even longer. The best thing about Singapore? Their Junk Food. Duh You get shit you can't find in Malaysia there... LIKE THIS (look down) Nacho's with cheese. I mean if you want these kind of stuff here, you're going to have to drive to Tesco and buy Nachos and microwave melt cheese on it. Not nice at all. Yuck.(need i say more?) As usual, the shopping in Singapore was THE BOMB. and what makes things better is when you're shopping with friends. Yes I had the awesome Andrea Kong, Yen May and Janna Wong to accompany me shopping. If you're ever in Singapore, Yen May Lee brings you to the best, cheapest, unique-est (is there such word?) places to shop. JannaWong comes up with the wildest ideas while shopping. ("Hey ,lets go get hair extensions") Andrea Kong goes the second mile ("I'M GETTING PURPLE EXTENSIONS!") Oh did I mention I had my 1st ever star-sighting in Singapore? Okay she's not exactly a star but she's star quality enough to get me hyperventilating and getting Andrea to capture as many shot possible. recap *OMYGOSH THATS KAY KAY!!!* 1 minute later *Andrea, THAT'S KAYKAY!!!" 1 minute later *OMYGOSH THATS KAYKAY!!!!* *Yes i know Sabrina* All in all a great fruitful and productive trip (cause i got to visit like 7 Cotton On stalls) Yes , call me a stalker. Sue me. WAAAAAAA Cotton on cotton on cotton on cotton on!! The store totaly robbed me of all my savings man. Came back kau kau broke But yeah. Enjoyed my time there.

The event kick started with an amazing drum performance and the parade of the nations. Oh and i met the Kongs (aha,i miss spelt and called them the Kings) Pastor Cho Yonggi was the 1st speaker. He also said "I don't know about you but in Korea, man over 60 aren't allowed to do anything without their wife's approval" His teaching was rather deep. Not in the cool kind of way but in the * you really have to pay full attention to understand what his talking about* way. And he talks in this very strong Korean accent so I couldn't get what he was trying to say at times. It's like saying "Kimchi" over and over again and somewhere in the middle, you add the word "Jesus" inside. He even thought us Korean "I'm going to teach you a very common Korean word today" "It's something we all use and say everyday" "Okay.. everyone say it with me now... " "HALLEULUIAH" "Yes that's right, everyone speaks Korean in heaven" We got the hall pass for the 1st day of a conference which was awesome cause if we didn't have it, we'd have to wait in like for like hours and still not be guaranteed a place in the hall. I hear the main hall itself can sit up to 10,000 people. BTW the stage lighting and effects are the top of the world in City Harvest. They even have that things where fire comes out from the stage. I wonder whether any of the singers hairs every go ton fire. Or their clothes. Imagine them singing *fire.. falll down... fire fall down...* then *kabooom* the lead singers hair is on fire. HAHAHHAHA. ah, i crack myself up at times. On the second day, A.R Benard spoke. And I'm not stupid, but his things are like.. deep. Like really really deep. Like think Titanic. And he has all these points with long words that I had to keep Google-ing and I look over to the delegates from China, and they seem to understand every word. -_- Throughout this conference, we are given slots to chose 6 electives out of the MANY provided. I chose creative teaching by Steve Munsey This man brought a whole new meaning to Teaching. I mean he's the best example of a christian drama queen (and i mean this in the nicest way). It's like non stop action with this guy. I heard that he brought an aquarium into his church, filled it up and preached inside in with once. Another one of my choices was by Jill Lowe. I think the picture says it all. It was beyond enjoyable, I learnt what colors match my skin, which specs to wear.. and urm.. what kind of panties are best for me. (hush) That night we didn't show up early enough so we got put into the overflow hall, which is also btw SUPER big. And it was kind of a blessing in a way because the True Worshipers were playing and THEY ARE AWESOME! Phil Pringle spoke that night. Did you know he paints?? Cause I didn't. And his paintings are pretty good. Like good, contemporary ish good We got to go into the main hall again on the 3rd day (wheepe-di-do-da). True Worshipers were playing again. The Crowd from where I was seated The Tan sisters were just 4 rows in front of us the whole time and we didn't even see them -_- Reinhard Bonkee spoke. He's the funniest of all but has the greatest testimonies The conference in all was a good but tiring one. I would give it a 7/10. I'm really grateful that I got to see all these great preachers all at once. And they said that this might be Cho Yonggi's last trip overseas. So yeah. grateful. And I'm in the middle of The Lion King 1 1/2 (it's all about Timon and Pumba this time). SUPER CHIO. "Hi I'm Timon" "Hi I'm, Pumba" "Seriously?" So, watch it

On a supercalifragilously random note ALL THE BEST IN YOUR EXAMS NOUVEENA CHAI (i hope you fail , and like break some law so they have to put you back in Malaysia) Oh and birthday wishes to Joses Khoo and Wing Yin I've got a post on Asia Conference on the way. Here's a teaser. the overflow hall which makes you feel like you're some super small person (note:OVERFLOW,which means this ISN'T the main hall of the event). Siao many ppl And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13 Love, Sabrina Labels: random 0 lovely comments ✿
I think it's really important that men realize how important it is to play the role as a "dad" in their families. As we develop to be better people, many core values are being left behind. People have less time spend with loved ones . "Sitting-down-and-pondering-about-life" isn't listed as part of a daily norm anymore. To all the Fathers or going-to-be fathers out there, this post is for you! 1. Treat Our Mom with respect. How you treat mom is exactly how we'd expect to be treated by our future partner. If you open doors for mom, we're gonna expect guys to open doors for us. If you treated mom like a jewel, we'd want our man to treat us like that too. So look here Dad, you're my shinning example of what I'd want to see in my future husband 2. Treat Us with respect Dad, however you treat us is essential to how we'd expect to be treated by the people of the world. If you make us feel like crap, we'd accept crap from other people, cause that's what we're used to. Whatever you say to us, however you treat us; we take into heart. So think twice before saying anything that might hurt us. Cause we take in everything, even if it wasn't intentional. And this is because we respect and adore you :) So Dad, you're my emotional backbone and it's your words that will encourage me and bring me down. 3.And most importantly (watch this) Remember to lead to us God in times of trouble, happiness and other human capable emotions. Anyway, HAPPY super early FATHER'S DAY People, spend it with your family. And do something nice for your dad. Love, Sabrina Labels: family 0 lovely comments ✿
thank you Andrea Kong for the lovely picture back from Asia Conference and back from Real voices. and I FEEL SO FREE. I'll be blogging on Asia Conference later. I wanna focus more on Real Voices today. Imagine a snapshot in history. The lives of 50 Malaysian Youths: Their hopes, their dreams, their habits, their thoughts, and who they are - documented in a daily group blogging project over 2 weeks, assembling a collage of the identify of Malaysian youths. *TAADA* Real Voices is a blogging project organized by YouthSays, an online youth opinion community that started in 2008. They are widely known for their participation in youth campaigns and events across the region including Southeast Asia Youths for Change,Youth '08 and Youth '09, Malaysian National Youth Entrepreneurs Convention (NYEC) 2008 and 2009 . YouthSays works with organizations and businesses to reward youth for participating in online surveys, advertising campaigns, campus activities and the most recent, BLOGGING! And you get Real Voices. Yours Truly was given the honor to participate in Real Voices 2 and I've got to say, I blew myself away, blogging about politics and money, etc. Something I never thought I'd ever be able to do. Some of the topics given got me going gaga. I mean , they asked me about the economy and all. -_- but anyway, since you're reading my blog, I guess you like my work. And If you like my work, I like you =) And Since I like you, you should like me too and support me. Here are just tidbits of the 15 posts I did on the Real Voices blog. Day 1: Topic: Youth Today and You The most difficult hurdle I’ve overcome and am still overcoming so far is…… *my period* Guys, I am NOT joking. This is serious stuff. Having blood splattered out from your ‘down there’ has to be the most disgusting, non-human feeling ever. It’s like, “okay, I’m bleeding, but I’m not dead”. Day 4: Topic: Work and Money What do you think are the three coolest jobs in the world? 1.SUPERMAN. Duh. Other than being inhumanly buff and blessed with a big *ding-dong* (hey we see the bulges in the underwear, don’t act all innocent) he also has the ability to fly! What’s the 3 un-coolest jobs in the world? 1.A professional assassin Cause you have to kill people that you don’t even know. And sometimes they have wives and kids. And if you change your mind, whoever that hired you in the 1st place might kill you instead. And in the end you get killed for not killing -_- Day10 : Topic: 1Malaysia If I ter-type and like cause some national drama ah, I refuse to go to jail because I was ASKED to blog about my Opinions on 1 Malaysia. so yeah, put the Youtsays ppl in jail (tsk.) Okay here goes, I think 1 Malaysia is what the government is using to put on a show to the other countries that we're progressing and being a democratic nation (though i beg to differ) NOW WAIT.... STOOOPP.. don't criticize me now, or YET. Hear me out. I'm not criticizing the 1 Malaysia concept, I'm criticizing the way the government is running it. If you like what you're reading, click here to check out what I and the other 49 youths have to say. (btw, all my post are done in pink so it's easier for you guys to find me or you can click 'Sabrina Chan' on the right navigation) I've to say, I'm SUPER PROUD of my 1Malaysia post. Never have I blogged with so much mojo and smartness, So even if you don't wanna read about the other topics, please just read my post on 1Malaysia. Until next time, Sabrina Labels: me 0 lovely comments ✿ |
