For the Love of China Town Dad pointed at this direction. "This, Sabrina, IS CHINA TOWN!" "Urm dad, it's an MRT station" "Oh yeah... when did they bulid this!??!!? China Town should be at the back of it" As we walked, mom pulled me by the arm "LOOK SAB! ONE DOLLAR BAGS!!!!!!!" "Mom, they are 7 dollars" We walked a little further to come to this signboard. Took a look inside the food outlet. Oh, THE IRONY! So China Town, It's a place for hurdles of Chinese People to gather. Cause I mean, WHO KNEW THAT SINGAPORE HAD CHINESE PEOPLE?? -_- China Town, It's the place to find the weirdest things Colorful furry things will surely brighten up anyone's day! Feeling Hungry? Why not get a key chain mold after food?!?!? For the love of Church (I wanted to put God but it would sound as if I was swearing) The family Went to City Harvest for their Christmas Service. One Word : WOOOAAAAHHH Two Words : SUPER WOOOAAHH Dads' Words: "I NEVER KNEW SINGAPORE HAD SOO MANY PEOPLE!!" They pulled of a wonderful play that left mom and dad in tears and Rachel and I in fits of laughter (we were laughing at our parents, not the play) And on Sunday we headed to New Creation Church. There were so many people (even though they have like 6 services a day) that we couldn't sit in the main hall. So we urm. stared at a screen. For the love of FOOD The place I was staying in (which i would blog about later) is 5 mins away form Orchard Road. And at every corner of Orchard Road, lies the ice cream man. He doesn't like pictures of him being taken. He stared at me for don't know how long after I took this picture. I bet he was tempted to spit on my ice cream. It's either ice creams are a really 'in' thing in Singapore now, or ice cream vendors aren't allowed to sell ice cream anywhere other than Orchard Road. Because it's a whole ice cream community there. And they all sell the same ice cream! Don't know how they make money. Oh and in Singapore was the 1st time I ever tasted Carls Jr. Burgers. And I'm NEVER going back to ordinary burgers! LOOK AT THE SIZE OF THOSE THINGS! yeah so anyway I'm getting tanned now. And it's really hot. Making the laptop that is ON my lap REALLY hot. Therefore making my thighs really hot. So yeah. BYE Love,

Merry (belated) Christmas from the land of Singapore. (no shit, it felt really cool saying that) So yeah. The family decided to spend Christmas in Singapore. (it was more of moms’ decision, but when moma’s happy; everyone’s happy) *calls for close up… Okay. So maybe Singaporean Trojans aren’t so hot after all… So yeah. Family in Singapore for Christmas. PDA SIAO weiyh. Can’t even tell who’s the mom and who’s the daughter. Get a family suite! (okay, so my jokes haven’t gotten any better) Let me introduce you to the family, This is dad. He claims that he was brought up in the China Town of Singapore. He ALSO claims to be brought up in Penang. Oh and KL and JB and…… oh, nvm. While the family enjoys a good breakfast at the hotel (I shall provide proof) Yeah so as the family enjoys their breakfast, dad would rather order his favourite mee goreng. His reason being “act Malaysian lah!” This coming from a man who bitches about our government every time he gets the opportunity. Why I love him? He feeds me. NO LA. He never fails to bring joy to the family. And he helps me make friends. (no, I’m not some super sad kid who can’t make friends herself) This is mom. Her hobbies are cam whoring in the most obvious places; like in front of a coffee shop in a super busy shopping mall. Other than my moms’ cam whoring abilities, she also loves destructing MY cam whoring pictures. *proof given Her tactic is to come up with sudden movement just as the camera snaps a photo. She also likes shouting out “AGGHH! SALE!!” when I take pictures of myself. Why I love her? She says things like “waaah girl, when I saw pastor joseph prince ah, I tell you, I NEARLY FAINTED AH!!” oh and “wah look at that boy over there, so handsome. Go ask for his number” This is Rachel Well, Rachel just really sums up the family. She annoys the heck out of all of us. She tells us really lame jokes. She poses with me in pictures. She takes pictures of me. She makes us laugh. Why do I love her? Because the family would be incomplete without her. Simple. So that’s the family. Mom and dad may not be all lovey dovey. In fact, we keep our distance from each other. Especially in lifts – just in case one of use farts. We might like having our own spaces at times. Or at others we’re left alone. But that doesn’t mean we love each other any less. So that is it for my Christmas Post. Spend it with your family; even if they are a bunch of weirdo’s. Nothing can beat time spent with family.=) Love, Sabrina Labels: events, family, food, the sister, travel 0 lovely comments ✿
Now that you have read about APYAC, here are random blabbers about it. -Not because I'm lifeless and have nothing better to do (well, yeah) ,but because I've got a whole lot of pictures. (yeah right) About 15 ish of us from COP took part in APYAC. (top row: Wing yin, Brandon,Joel. Middle row: Thalsha,Julie,Clarice Bottom Row: Joanna, Rachel, Sandra) We were put up in one of the Glad Tidings Mission Homes in Petaling Jaya. When we first heard that the house was situated on top of shop lots, glances were exchanged but when we reached, the place really blew us away. It was beyond our expectations. I guess we can learn here not to judge a book by it's cover. To the people in Glad Tidings who did up the mission home, you guys are awesome. They turned the whole 2nd floor into a suite. And there was a certain "homely" feel to it. Wouldn't mind if we were put up there in the conferences to come *Hint Hint APYAC worked in such a way that we'd have a short free period of time between the day conference and the night concerts to do whatever we want. Most of the time, we'd go back to the mission home looking like crap. No joke. I swear that no one in this picture was posing. This is SERIOUSLY how we look at the end of everyday. (From L to R :Thalsa, Rachel, Clarice, Joanna Julie, Sandra, Elijah's shoes, Mun hon) (this is how you turn out if you don't get your rest and random ppl that you don't know take pictures of you) We'd refuel by going down to all the different F&B outlets in PJ. That's another thing i loved about the mission home. Just walk down and you're surrounded with food. (it was like heaven). And this is where I discovered the joy of Murnis. People, if you stay around ss2, or will be going anywhere near it.i'd like to share with you a special message: "Ribena Special, Roti Hawaii & Maggi Goreng" Believe me, you would thank the baboons out of me. The revival night services at APYAC was awesome. It was open to the public so a whole lot of ppl came. And talking about people, wooooooh! met alot of people la. This is the part of my post where you find for a picture of yourself and save it. Then post it on facebook. So yeah.. PICTURES! (The ever-good looking Wing Yin) (Deva, me) (Jonathan, the guy friend.) (Me, Rachel, Joses) ( Nick, Kears, Me) The YES-ers and the some of the delegates from Bangladesh (From top L-R : Gary, Deva Me, Japhia,Janna, Rachel) These aren't all the pictures. Siao ah? want me to post all the pics. Blogger only lets me upload like 5 at once. So yeah. Btw, once again, some of the pictures above weren't taken by me. So don't save the pics if you don't see a "Apyac 2009" on it. Japhia to Joanna "You look like an Alien!!" Joanna : "Who's Elaine??"
