This is a post that has been kept as a draft for the longest time. I like it too much to leave it unread! Apologies if it ends abruptly, I felt that if I were to continue from where I left of, it would loose the essence of what I had it mind for the post in the first place. So, enjoy... I got the opportunity to go back in time. Well not actual time travel , but close enough. I got to visit my old high school about a week ago. Calling it old is a rather fitting adjective. It has always been old; even while I was studying in it. It was known to be a hospital back in the days that would treat Japanese soldiers and right beside it would be the grounds where they buried the deceased. (or so they said). Oh, imagine the amount of horror stories that were passed down from generation to generation. I heard it all, from floating pontianaks, to voices being heard in empty classrooms. But no, I shall not bore you with stories from the past. So, I got to walk about in my previous Alma Mater for a bit. Funny, I didn't even need to sign in with the guard. I just walked right pass the main gate. That's either a crack in the schools' security, or it goes to show that I have finally attracted enough raw minerals on earth to activate the power of invisibility. Yes, I'm superhero. What do you do when you visit your old school? I Reminiscence. Something about the word 'reminiscing' makes me feel old. In a grandmother-i-love-to-knitt kinda way. But not on that day. That day I felt like Julius Caesar revisiting Europe. I felt proud (note: that's no always a good thing). Like i was revisiting something I have conquered My alma matter, filled with so much memories. This place is part of me now, just like it's a part of all the young women that has graduated from it. And this was where I stopped writing. I think it was because I needed to pee, and when I came back, The Office was showing and it just went downhill from there. Sigh. I wish I had completed it before losing my train of thought. Anyhows, always remember where you came from, and don't forget to revisit once in awhile. You'll learn new things about yourself and pick up old memories you left behind.

So, Samsung had their launch for the Samsung Galaxy Y Limited Edition Hello Kitty phone at GSC, Pavilion last Saturday. (depending on when I finish this post)
(So cute hor?)
And and and and, in conjuction with the launch of the phone in Malaysia, Samsung Mobile threw a Hello Kitty themed girly bff party. Just imagine how ecstatic i was to get my hands on the invite!! I brought my dear friend Andrea Kong along and we had much fun! Samsung sure knows how to treat their stakeholders (oooh business term.. again!!) well. If all schools or offices had an entrance like this, there won't be anymore crap from people giving fake mc's. I mean seriously, who won't be attracted to this?!?! Everyone walking past also had to stop by to gasp in awe of this wondrous Hello Kitty Arch-thing. All the pink was putting me in a great mood! The launch had the usual, free food, models showing off the Samsung Galaxy Y Helloy Kitty, and lots of people! But wait!!! There was more!! and more and more and morrreeerr!!! we were given free manicures Okay but to be fair la, Andrea says that in can't be called a manicure because it wasn't done professionally. Like no base coat and no nail filling, and the graphics they put on were all senget So bad for you Samsung for not hiring proper manicurers. But then again. it was free la, and well.. nice things no free, free things no nice...
This picture looks super fail, but im too lazy to upload it again
We were also treated to hair styling and face painting
But what I enjoyed most was the hello kitty airbrush tattoos!
There was this little boy that was getting the Hello Kitty Tattoo as well, I told him that it was a girls tattoo, and because of that when he wakes up the next day, he would turn into a girl.
There was also a fashion show .
(this was Andrea's favourite look btw)
I guess you'll just have to go to the Samsung website HERE to find out more. Oh and celeb blogger Cheesy was there!! Okay let me tell you about this super fail picture, the story behind it was that Andrea first told me that Cheesy was there, and I got this fan girl energy rush that I forgot to change my settings on the camera before handing it over to Andrea, who was a darling to take the picture for us la. BUT the picture turned out all BLUE! like our skin and everything. So sad, made me and Cheesy look like freggin avatar characters. and I would never post a picture of me and Chessy looking like an avatar okay? so thus, the b&w picture. sigh. Anyhooooos, if you're thinking about getting the phone.,or already own one, guess what? You stand to win yourself and THREE (3) BFF's an VIP trip to Sanrio Hello Kitty town. Or if those prices don't amuse you, how about Rm500 worth of merchandises... or... or.. another Samsung Galaxy y Hello Kitty Phone? (i don't know whats the point of winning another Hello Kitty phone when you already own one la, but wtv). Click HERE if you're interested :) Also, to find out where the nearest Samsung Mobile Store near you, click HERE
So, have a good day, back to assignment rush week for me. Sigh. If any chio brand is reading this now. please invite me for more events in KL please. My life in KL is very sad now since i can't afford anything because everything here is so expensive :(

I would like to think that my readers have somehow gotten accustomed to my unreliable ways..... Some days ago, I realized that I needed to blog. Mainly because I haven't been getting invites to review anything anymore, and my allowance is running dry . But for the sake of maintaining the elegance of this blog ( I kid) , I will write whatever that comes close to a complete post that I am capable of . So yes, Hello. University has been an eye opening experience so far. And so has staying away from home. I won't say that I'm exactly enjoying staying away, but I can't say that I'm home sick either. It has only been 3 months; maybe I still have some getting used to do, or maybe I'll never be able to feel comfortable in my rented room. oh, about my rented room! How much I have to tell you about my rented room! Let me start by saying that rooms in KL are expensive! wait no, lets not limit it to rooms, everything in KL is expensive. It's by far the most expensive city I've stayed in (hint of exaggeration). Me and a friend found a room going for a whopping 1k a month (without amenities). We were convinced that it was a rip off but had to sign the contract as the start of our semester was nearing. And we were also cheated into thinking that this other guy had RSVP'ed a room for us, when all he wanted to do was TAKE OUR MONEY! (i'll leave this story for some other time). This is what it looks like from outside, yes yes, before you say that I'm oblivious to the dangers of the city by posting a picture of my house online, may i just add that all the houses in that area (which i won't name) looks the same okay! Btw, this is my roommate Japhia, next to her stuff. She's very excited - as you can see..... she doesn't always look this happy, in fact, we both look like a combination of "crap, what day is it?" and "do you have free food?" on normal days. Anyhow, after speaking with a couple of friends, we realized that our 1k room was somewhat a bargain (what?!). Turns out that most of the houses in our area (which i still won't name) are renovated by kiasu landlords to hold like 15 rooms to maximize profit (ooh business term). Imagine how small each of the rooms turn out! I guess the expensive room was a blessing in disguise because it's SUPAR HUGE! Japhia and I sometimes call it our very own apartment unit, with our own kitchen, dressing place and toilet. And best of all, the entire house isn't renovated. Not one bit, so we still have a hall downstairs. A rather un-used hall, but still, it's a normal house! So it was worth it after all. plus our water bill only came up to Rm4 last month (note: this does not, in anyway, reflect on the amount of showers we take) oh, this is the amount of rice Japhia brought over. ASIAN POWER! and that's basically as much as I can blog for the moment. But I've got posts on que, so it shouldn't take a while for me to get back on track again. Let's all be reminded that blessings come in different packages, but through it all, always remain thankful for what you have.

Sabrina.
