Okay. Exaggeration. But it did feel like I was a total outsider cause I didn't know a single person. My observations: 1. We had close connections to the bride or groom. Either that, or we were really in their good books cause our table had direct view of the stage.Like one of the 1st ones. And we all know the rules to a Malaysian wedding, the better view you have of the stage, the closer your relationship to the bride and groom. Or, the fatter your wallet. 2. I For the whole wedding , even when dinner was served, this was going on on stage. oh, think it's still tolerable? That wasn't the end of it. As liquor came pouring in... the in house entertainment diverted into English songs... which resulted to this.. (whaaatt?) 3. Yam Seng is not for those with weak ears. Point Proven. 4. I'm NEVER EVER ever ever ever ever ever having a karaoke set in my wedding. Even if that means those over 50 in my guest least would be bored to death, I won't give in. Maybe I'll provide vouchers for a nearby Kbox, but NO KARAOKE in my wedding. and if you're nice to me, I'll add you in my guest list early :) Love, Sabrina Labels: events, family, me, Videos 2 lovely comments ✿

Mom gave me some advice on how to pick my future husband ask yourself "Will I join the Amazing Race with this guy?" If you're answer is no, you don't want to marry him. I'm serious. Mom actually said that. And dad on the other hand thinks I'm trying to give him a hard time when i sent him out to buy milk. "For the last time Sabrina, there's no such thing as low fat and full cream milk" It was only when he arrived home all sulky he faced that I realized he didn't know they were 2 separate things. Oh and Rachel doesn't believe in Santa. Lord, save this family :P Love,

"You Malaysians; you're not very fond of your government no?" I would say it's a love hate relationship between us and our government When do we love our government? When elections are coming of course. That's when we have fresh tarred roads and tip top security services. When do we hate our government? Every other time except when the elections are coming. Why do we hate our government? I took some time to think about this but I could only come up with one answer. Because They are Stupid Did you know that they are changing Science and Maths to Malay again next year? Do they not care about how confuse the kids will be? How about those kids who were taught in English in primary school and now they have to learn it in Malay in high school? That's like destroying they're whole foundation. I'm disgusted and disappointed with our government. How can they be so fickle minded with something as important as our kid's future? I can't help but feel that the governments decision is for the benefit of only a certain group of Malaysians. I urge Malaysians to start voicing out their opinions. You might think it won't make a difference or that you're just part of a minority, but all opinions deserves to be heard. or well, you can plan to just migrate. Btw, I found this in wikipedia while reading about the Malaysian Economy Despite some improvement in the economic power of Malays in general, the Malaysian government maintains a policy of discrimination that favours ethnic Malays over other races—including preferential treatment in employment, education, scholarships, business, access to cheaper housing and assisted savings. a shame isn't it? that this is there for the whole world to read. Wait, you guys do know who the Spice Girls are right? Only THE IN-est pop group in the last 1990's that I was head-over-heels about. Quiz me on any of their songs today and I'll still be able to remember them. I even made a sort of shrine for them when I was about 8, which now, seems a little weird. It was a hard cover bag that had pictures of the Pop group cello-tapped to the walls and had everything from key chains to hand written lyrics in them. No wonder mom was worried Anyway, getting back to the topic, in 1997, Spice Girls had a movie released that come to think about it, wasn't very good. I remember watching it over 10 times (after Britney's Crossroads) Any girl my age would understand my addiction. So if you did see the Spice Girl Movie, you're in for a shocker! Remember that scene in the haunted castle where there was some sort of count Dracula cum weird stalker guy? well shocker here, but that dude was played by Hugh Laurie who's got a way better role now as Dr House in urm, House. (see the contrast?) What can we learn form this kids? Even weirdo's get a chance to shine :) Love, Sabrina Labels: movies 2 lovely comments ✿

NO! don't run off yet! It doesn't take much effort, or any cash! Human trafficking is the third largest and fastest growing criminal activity in the world. It is estimated that approximately 1.2 million children are trafficked domestically or across borders each year. That's like one third of the Whole of Malaysia! That is equal to having one member of your family being trafficked for a family of 3. *blonde moment* Here is what I need you to do. 1. Just Click Here (You know you want to) 2. If it's not a racist joke, it's making fun of our politicians. It's something we can't skip a day without. But no matter how much we seem to hate each other, there is still something that pulls us together. And that brings some sort of warmth to my heart. Something I would like to call Humor :) and and the food too. Task of the day : Be nice to thy fellow Malaysian Love,Sabrina Labels: Videos 0 lovely comments ✿ |
