❝Small things go a long way. What hair saloons can learn from Number 76.❞

Before anything, I would like to note that I was not paid by Number 76 to write this. I was just invited to get my hair treated in their outlet in Publika and whether or not I wanted to say anything about them was my choice.

The reason why I'm dedicating an entire write up to Number 76 is because I was just amazed by the level of service given by them. Many of you would know that I am not easily amused or blown away. Read most of my reviews and you would notice that I always give a fair pros and cons comparison on everything I write for. Even my paid reviews.

However, there was absolutely nothing unsatisfactory with my time Number 76.

I was sincerely blown away.
(haha blown get it? Cause they blew my hair? Har Har Har)

I went on a Saturday morning to get an UltraSonic Premium Iron Hair Treatment.

Below are the little things done by the team at Number 76 that made a big difference.

Magazine placement makes a difference after all.

You know in the usual hair saloons, there are usually a bunch of untidy magazines already pushed to the corner or under the table of your allocated seats?

Doesn't it look unwelcoming? Sometimes I don't even read them because I wonder "What if there is some insect infestation laying eggs in them?".

Well at Number 76, my seat and its surroundings was first of all very clean. Squeaky clean.

And when I sat down, one of their staff actually went and handpicked magazines for me to read.

I mean you guys might say, what's the big deal right? Either way you get your magazine . But I think the presentation of it was done really well. I felt as if like "Waaaah, you take magazine for me???"

Something as small as that made a big difference. As a customer I felt like they were personalising my experience with them. "What magazines would you like to read? What would you not like to read?"

Okay making me sound like some jakun right. Moving on...

The hair wash was oh-my-god.

I usually enjoy my hair washes with long LOOONNG scalp massages.
Number 76 did not provide that, I was going in for hair treatment after all not a hair wash. However, their hair wash was still one of the most enjoyable ones.

Firstly they provide you with this fluffy comfortable blanket that makes you feel like a baby.
And the hair stylist actually blankets you up. I mean who does that?

What many saloons don't understand is that getting your hair washed is a really cold experience. You scalp is being drenched by cold water while you are in an air-conditioned room. The blanket was a really nice, warm and fuzzy touch to show that Number 76 takes extra care of their customers.

Secondly and this is what I loved most was that they provided eye covers when they were washing my hair.

You know how sometimes when you are lying down to get your hair wash, it's just very awkward because you're staring at the chin of the person washing your hair. And that's just a really ugly angle to be looking at anyone at.

And you don't know whether you should open or close your eyes. If I open my eyes, I feel really bad because i'm looking at a really bad angle of you. But if I close my eyes, I feel bad too like I'm not making a human connection with the person washing my hair.

But with the eye caps. I can close my eyes and not feel guilty. It was a total blackout so I could enjoy every second of my hair wash.

Would you like some tea with that?

Not only do they provide hot green tea during your time with them, but you get individually wrapped butter cookies as well.

Anything individually wrapped is atas okay?

But in all seriousness, who does not like free tea / coffee?
And it all came in branded cups to. Very instagram-able.

The people

Another thing that I think every hair saloon should learn from was that whenever a new person attended to me, they would first introduce themselves to me and let me know beforehand what they were going to do.

Sometimes when I got to hair saloons, I feel like i'm being "passed" on to so many hands. I especially dislike not knowing what is going on and what's ahead. So imagine how pleased I was with the services provided by Number 76.

All in all, I had a great time at Number 76.
And I would definitely return again. I saw on Instagram that their hair colouring services are Ah-Mazing!
