Last Friday I went for a dinner . Mr Paul, my college director, was one of the guest. Seeing the opportunity to get to know him better, I geared myself with tons of questions and headed his way. One of the questions I asked him was if running a college had been what he always wanted to do. Surprisingly, he answered yes. He always knew he was meant for the education industry. I replied, telling him that he was one of the lucky ones. Then it was time for self contemplation. Time and time again God has been questioning me what my passion is. What's scary is that every time, I have a different answer. Not all of us are as lucky as Mr Paul; being able to do what we have true passion for. I mean for me, I don't even know what my passion is :) (yet) But what I've learnt from Mr Paul is that when you finally do find out what your passion is, and you work accordingly, work isn't work anymore. There's true joy within you. Even if your passion means giving up important things, the peace within you is present. I do hope this post serves as a reminder, to all those who haven't found their passion yet, to keep searching, in hopes that one day, we can obtain the joy that I saw within Mr Paul to all those who already have found what they have passion for, to encourage you to work towards it and not put it to waste and to all those who are already pursuing their passions, to remind you that you're one heck of a lucky person :) Love, Sabrina Labels: college 2 lovely comments ✿ |
